Two well-known aviation writers have collaborated to produce this comprehensive volume, the first ever published in English to give complete details of all German aircraft of the 1914–18 period. A vast amount of new material is presented, much of it from original German sources, and great care has been taken to find rare photographs of each aircraft, few of which have been reproduced before.
Over 500 aircraft are described and illustrated, ranging from A.E.G. two-seaters to the Zeppelin-Staaken "Giants", and there are three view general arrangement drawings of all the most important types.
