WHERE DOES OSEAS FIT IN TO THE NAFSA STRUCTURE?

OSEAS is one of seven professional groups within NAFSA's branch on Professional Development (ADSEC, ATESL, CAFSS, COMSEC, SECUSSA, OSEAS AND SPA).

OSEAS consists of six regional (plus one sub-regional) leaders, various functional representatives and ex-officios who represent overseas educational advising to the leadership and various sections and committees within the Association. (see OSEAS leadership brochure).

Over the past three years, OSEAS has gained increasing visibility and importance as the group within NAFSA which helps maintain the flow of international students to the United States.

WHERE DOES OSEAS-EUROPE FIT IN?

OSEAS-Europe is one of the six regions within OSEAS. It consists of overseas advising professionals from Western, Eastern and Central Europe, plus the NIS. It is the first region ever within OSEAS to create its own democratically elected board, to develop a set of working By-Laws, and to have its own homepage and listserve.
