The Jan Hus Educational Foundation is one of the oldest educational foundations in the Czech Republic. Since 1990 it has been working with Czech and Slovak university departments on curriculum development, support of teaching of the humanities and social
sciences and on preparation of young faculty for their academic career. One of the Foundation's programs is the Academic Information Centre which provides the public with:
* information about studying in various countries:
- general information on educational systems
- university catalogs/reference books
- World Academic Database (information on about 12.000 institutions of higher education all over the world)
* advisory service on choosing and applying to study programs
* information on financing study abroad, scholarships, foundations' programs
* bulletins and preparation materials for TOEFL, GRE, GMAT, SAT and USMLE
* information on high school exchanges and summer jobs abroad
* information for foreigners on studying in the Czech Republic
* information on the non profit sector
* catalogs of Czech and foreign foundations and grant-making organisations
* specialist foreign-language literature in the humanities, social sciences and law.
