BAYLISS : Bibliographic guide to the two world wars (fülszöveg)

Anyone researching into any aspect of the two world wars is faced with an enormous quantity of material. The problem of the researcher, and of the librarian serving the researcher, is to distinguish the material that is relevant. There are many classified listings and specialized bibliographies which could be used to reduce the time spent on searching the literature. However, many of these research aids are not well known and they are not used as much as they could be.

In Bibliographic Guide to the Two World Wars, Dr Bayliss has listed and critically described over 2400 of these keys to source material. The descriptions are arranged according to type of reference work. Indexes identify reference works relating to particular subject areas of research and to particular geographical areas. In addition there are author and title indexes so that assessments and full bibliographical descriptions of individual reference works can be located.
