This volume vividly records the Frankish years of glory and their end, from the foundation of the Kingdom of Jerusalem to its reconquest by Saladin.
Volume 3
The final volume of this history describes the revival, through the Third Crusade, of the Frankish Kingdom of Jerusalem, its final fall a century later, and the accompanying degeneration of Crusading ideals to the level of the notorious 'crusade' against Christian Byzantium.
